Natalie completed her Masters degree at SFCM in 2017, studying with César Ulloa.

Past highlights include Cinderella in Alma Deutscher’s Cinderella with Opera San Jose as part of its North American premiere, Clorinda in Rossini’s La Cenerentola with the Merola Opera Program, Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915 with the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) orchestra, Aurore in Massenet’s Le portrait de Manon (SFCM), Handel’s Messiah with the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra as the soprano soloist, Johanna in Sweeney Todd (Opera on the Avalon), and Mrs. 5 by Villa-Lobos (SFCO), a San Francisco Opera Center and Merola Opera Program Schwabacher recital, as well as touring Northern California and Oregon with the Adler Fellows. Other appearances in 2018 have included performing Bachianas Brasileiras No. Natalie is also looking forward to returning to Opera San Jose in the spring of 2020 to make her role debut as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte.
In the recent Adler Fellows concert, Natalie was commended for her “thrilling display of tonal lushness and agility” (San Francisco Chronicle) in her performance of Donizetti’s Regnava nel silenzio ( Lucia di Lammermoor).Īfter a busy spring and summer performing Galatea in Handel’s Acis and Galatea with the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra (SFCO), along with 7 performances as Frasquita ( Carmen) and 5 performances as the First Wood Nymph ( Rusalka) with the San Francisco Opera (SFO), Natalie is excited to be singing the roles of Barbarina ( Le nozze di Figaro), and the Dew Fairy ( Hansel and Gretel) with SFO, followed by the yearend Adler Fellows concert. As a 2017 Metropolitan Opera National Council Grand Finalist, soprano Natalie Image was praised by the New York Times for her “pristine high notes” and by Operawire for her “crystalline tone swirled through the house.” Her singing has also been described as “crisp buoyant” with “sparkling coloratura and vocal cascades” by the San Francisco Chronicle.
